The Pharmacy Club of EWU and Career Counseling Center jointly organized a workshop on "Prospect of Pharmacy Profession in Bangladesh -Present & Future Aspects" on 22nd May at the auditorium.
EWU Vice Chancellor Professor Md. Sharif appreciated the initiatives to organize such workshop, emphasizing its demand in the present context of local and global market. He welcomed the guests of different pharmaceutical companies and the audience as well. Among the speakers Professor ABM Faroque explained the scopes of pharmacists in industrial sectors, hospital pharmacy & community pharmacy, retail pharmacy and other areas. Professor Muniruddin Ahmed also focused on the job opportunities in government sector of Bangladesh.
Among the guests Abu Ali, Production Manager of Aristopharma Ltd, Mohammad Ali, Manager QC, Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Proshonjit Chakraborty, Manager, Market Development, Square pharmaceuticals Ltd, Nazmul Hassan, General Manager, Unimed & Unihealth Ltd. and Saiful Islam Khan, Business Development, GSK discussed various opportunities that are prevailing for the graduates both home and aboard. Other faculty members of the department of pharmacy and the students took active part in the question-answer session.
