Cox's Bazar Sea Beach
Cox's Bazar is one of the most beautiful tourist spots & the longest sea beach in the world, total approx. 120 km long, localted in Cox's Bazar district of Bangladesh. It is also tourist capital of Bangladesh. The beauty of the setting-sun behind the waves of the sea is simply captivating. Sundarbans
The Sundarbans are the largest mangrove forest in the world, located in Khulna district of Bangladesh. The Sundarbans cover an area of 38,500 sq km of which about one-third is covered in water. Since 1966 the Sundarbans have been a wildlife sanctuary, and it is estimated that there are now 400 Royal Bengal tigers and about 30,000 spotted deer and many wild animals and birds are linving in the area.
Buddhist Vihara Paharpur
Paharpur an important archaeological site in Bangladesh, situated in a village named Paharpur (Pahadpur) under the Badalgachhi Upazila of Naogaon district. Evidence of the rise of Mahayana Buddhism in Bengal from the 7th century onwards, Somapura Mahavira, or the Great Monastery, was a renowned intellectual centre. Due to its geographical situation the entire region of Bengal, including the Paharpur Buddhist Vihara, has been one of the vital links between India and Southeast Asia since ancient times. With the flourishing of trade and cultural exchange Buddhism entered from India in the 5th century and its religious influence gradually increased
Moinamoti Shalbon Bihar
They are famous historical and archeological places around Comilla. These are a series of hillocks, where the Northern part is called Moinamoti and the Southern part is called Lalmai; and Shalbon Bihar is in the Middle of Lalmai and Moinamoti, which the was established in 8th century by King Buddadev. Sixty Dome Mosque
Sixty Dome Mosque is the most magnificent and largest brick mosque in Bangladesh is the Shait Gombu. It is situated in Bagerhat district. The World Heritage Committee of UNESCO included Bagerhat in the World Heritage list. Its name, meaning '60 domes', is misleading as in reality, it is roofed over with 77 small domes supported by a forest of slender columns covering a large prayer hall and giving it the appearance of a medieval church crypt...more tourist sposts..
