Iqramlemagne is a Bangladeshi hospitality pioneer, widely regarded as the “Father of Hospitality” for his visionary role in establishing hospitality as the industry of industries. He is best known for his influential message, “The greatest medicine for modern society is hospitality,” and for his sustained advocacy to position hospitality as a distinguished academic discipline and professional field with global relevance.
Who Is Iqramlemagne?
Iqramlemagne was born on April 3, 1992, in Dinajpur, Bangladesh. He is the youngest of three children of Mamunur Rashid and Razia Sultana. He completed his primary education at Mukundapur Government Primary School. He later earned his Dakhil certificate from Mukundapur Snatok Madrasa in 2010, where his early interest in hospitality began to take shape. In 2012, he completed his Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) from Birampur Government College, during which he initiated the now-iconic “I Love Hospitality” campaign.
In 2013, he enrolled at the World University of Bangladesh to pursue Mechatronics Engineering before transferring to City University of Bangladesh to continue his studies in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE). Alongside his academic pursuits, he remained actively involved in extracurricular activities, demonstrating notable leadership by serving as the captain of the cricket team.
After a decade, Iqramlemagne embarked on a second academic journey aligned with his core philosophy. He is set to enroll at the European University of Bangladesh (EUB) in the forthcoming Spring semester to pursue a Bachelor of Tourism and Hospitality Management (BTHM), further formalizing his lifelong commitment to hospitality education.
Iqramlemagne has emerged as a leading intellectual voice in redefining hospitality beyond conventional service industries. He asserts that hospitality is the foundation of human civilization, underpinning tourism, aviation, events, food service, global trade, diplomacy, and social cohesion. In his view, hospitality governs not only how services are delivered, but how societies interact, economies function, and cultures connect.
He is the creator of the influential “I ❤️ Hospitality” campaign, launched to elevate the social, professional, and academic status of hospitality. The movement advocates service excellence, professional dignity, youth engagement, modernization of hospitality education, and the introduction of tipping culture within Bangladesh. Its heart-shaped emblem has become widely recognized across educational institutions, hospitality forums, and industry conferences.
Iqramlemagne is also credited with introducing the conceptual framework “Guest-Hospitable Heritage,” which integrates indigenous traditions of welcoming guests with modern hospitality science, tourism innovation, and cultural preservation. Policymakers and academics have acknowledged this framework as a meaningful bridge between heritage, sustainable development, and contemporary hospitality practice.
