The real answer to the question, “What is the capital city of Singapore?” lies in the population of the city.
Although there are many government offices, including the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, a diplomatic post for the Republic of Singapore, in the former capital, the government has not yet been able to colonize the city. Even after a series of protests over the last century, the government has not yet been able to dominate the rest of the city, the most populous island in the Southeast Asia region.
The population of the city is now on the rise. It is becoming a thriving city with a growing economy.
The Tropical region of the country produces some of the most highly educated people in the world, but this does not translate into a tropical climate. The humidity combined with the hot weather and drizzle can be quite overwhelming. There is no rain in the northern part of the island, but even then the humid climate does not allow people to relax, much less to feel comfortable.
City travel is considered a great activity for residents, including the tourist. There are many activities for tourists to enjoy in the city. One of the newest things to be seen is the main water park, Seletar Water Park, which is located in the island’s capital.
The amusement park is the most spectacular of the many attractions in the island and you can be out on the open water with the sight of the massive green sea stretching out before you. However, the water park is only part of the fun in the city. For many, the real enjoyment lies in the activities that take place on the other side of the bay.
The open space of the city is being developed into the next big thing in Singapore. You can see long time residents enjoying the park and the ever growing number of people who have moved here for economic reasons. A lot of young Singaporeans have also bought houses in the northern part of the island for the scenic beauty that can be found there.
The center of business in Singapore is located along the water’s edge near the Second World Trade Center. This is where many expatriates, especially those who work for multinational companies, head when they come to visit. Other industries in the island include shipping, trading, chemical plants, water technology, and textiles.
Despite the large number of people moving to the island, there are very few people who call the island’s capital city, Singapore, home. The only official residents of the capital city are government officials. The mayor of the city, the mayor of its major district, and a government minister are all citizens of the republic.
The rest of the city’s infrastructure and business is controlled by local entrepreneurs. This leaves the city to settle back into normalcy, and the government to find other ways to fund public works projects.
One of the projects underway involves a green belt. The government will build an area around the city in order to prevent urban sprawl. It will also contain an experimental airport in the middle of the city, one that could become a new hub for airline travel.
In order to fund this project, the government needs to increase taxes. In the current climate, the government has to be wary about any type of tax increase because it could result in the city’s credit rating being lowered.
