Office hours during Ramadan will be from 9:00am to 3:30pm instead of 9:00am to 5:00pm at present for government, semi-government, autonomous and semi-autonomous organisations.
The cabinet at its weekly meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair on Thursday fixed the new office timing in Ramadan when Muslims will observe fasting during daylight hours.
The meeting also approved the drafts of Climate Change Trust Act, 2010 and Administrative Tribunal (Amendment) Act, 2010, PM’s Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad told a press briefing after the meeting at the Cabinet Division of Bangladesh Secretariat. |
