July 9, 2010
The authorities of directorate of secondary and higher education (DSHE) yesterday postponed today's written test for selection of candidates for the post of assistant teachers of government high schools.

Mohammad Zakir Hossain, director (secondary) of the DSHE, said they postponed the exam due to the allegation of question paper leakage in Rangpur yesterday.

He, however, said that the directorate has not yet decided the fresh date of the exam.

A total of 1,32,299 applicants were scheduled to appear in the exam against 1,968 posts across the country.

Meanwhile, Kotwali police yesterday arrested 160 people from Gangachara upazila in Rangpur in connection with the question leakage.

Police arrested all the 160 from a guesthouse at Vinno Jagot, a private park at Gonjipur in the upazila, reports our Rangpur correspondent.(http://www.thedailystar.net/newDesign/news-details.php?nid=146064)
